Over 30 International and Malaysian Properties to be featured in Sandakan

SANDAKAN, Apr 7, 2014: This will be the second year that the flagship exhibition, SHAREDA Property Hunter Expo (PH Expo) returns to Sandakan. This event will be held from 11 to 13 April 2014 (10:00am to 8:00pm) at the Yu Yuan Secondary School Function Hall.

This free-to-attend exhibition is jointly organized by the Sabah Housing and Real Estate Developers Association (SHAREDA) and renowned property exhibition organizer Maxx Media (S) Sdn Bhd. It will feature over 56 booths consisting of both local and international developers, property agents and banks.

Guest of Honour YB Datuk Au Kam Wah ADUN N4 Elopura said, “I hope that this event will help contribute to the booming real estate industry in Sandakan. The city is growing and becoming more prosperous, not only as the main eco-tourism destination in Sabah, but also as an up and coming commercial centre.”

He added: “To maintain this steady growth in the market, I would like to remind our local developers to ensure high quality control in the construction progress of the buildings. This is of utmost importance to upgrade the architectural appearance of the city, improve safety and durability of the building and to fulfil the needs and aspirations of the community.”

Over 20 developers and property agents will be showcasing more than 30 of the most anticipated projects from the United Kingdom (UK), Australia, Singapore and Malaysia. First time participant Jalin Realty will be featuring Zone 1 to Zone 6 apartments and student accommodations in the UK, plus apartments and landed homes in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, Australia.

Top developers that will be highlighting properties in Malaysia include the Mah Sing Group, Hap Seng Properties Development, IOI Properties Berhad, Reapfield Properties, Kuala Lumpur Metro Group, Bandar Utama Development, Selangor Dredging Berhad (Properties) and many more. Sabahan developers include Wah Mie Group, Remajaya, Grand Merdeka Development, Sara Timur Realty and others.

According to Maxx Media Director Michael Hiew, “This will be the first property expo in Sandakan that will be held after the implementation of the government cooling measures. This will be a great opportunity for visitors to discover what’s out in the market and find great value deals offered by the participants.”

He said, “To further educate visitors about the current property market, we are also giving away free copies of the Property Hunter magazine. Plus, visitors will be thrilled to know that Acer Malaysia is sponsoring Ace Smartphone for three lucky winners of the Visit and Win contest.”

“Buyers who make purchases during the three-day event will be able to redeem vouchers from Louis Pang Studio worth RM800, for properties under RM500,000 and RM1080, for properties above RM500,000),” Hiew added.
